Twenty-eight... I'm not sure I like the sound of that, but it's almost here. I still don't think I have it all figured out yet; there are certainly shortcomings that I thought I would've overcome by now, milestones enclosed by white picket fences that are more dream than 'around the corner', and the imposter syndrome that still rears its ugly head from time to time.

It's not all so bad...

On reflection, I see that I've had a really blessed decade as an adult. Most relevant for this site, is that I've had the opportunity to throw myself in the deep end in several different disciplines, particularly in the areas of technology, music, philosophy and theology. Passion seems to be difficult to come across these days, so before the recommendation algorithm draws what passion I have left from my veins, I'd like to share it with others.

More than anything, I would like this site to be a useful blog. One in the spirit of those old school hackers of years gone by, where the projects are lovingly shared, without influence of monetisation or the promise of algorithmic promotion. The idealist in me says the web should be smaller. This site can be a method I can help push the internet in that smaller direction.

I'm also very much inspired by my grandfather, who, in his eighties is still tinkering with projects and writing books. He has been a strong role model, a great mentor, and I'm happy to say more recently; a good friend.

While previous posts may have been focused solely on tech, I think going forward I'll branch out to music production and philosophy, but of course time will tell. I'd like to encourage you to follow using the RSS feed if you're a kindred spirit, or reach out over email if you'd like to get my attention.
